Houston is a wonderful place to live, but it’s not always safe. (No city is.) And while we’d never want to call another place home, we’re also realists – we know that living in a great city means implementing great security precautions.
It’s common sense: home security is designed to keep you, your loved ones, and your home safe. Safe from random break-ins, like the one in Rosenberg last July, or the burglars who broke into a SW Houston home in September, or the December break-in of a SE Houston home, or – wait for it – the you’d-have-to-hear-it-to-believe-it robbers who stole from a baby in Pasadena.
Exercise your common sense with Hawk. Here’s how we help keep your family and home safe:
Did you know that the mere presence of video surveillance equipment can reduce your risk of break-in? That’s because cameras are a deterrent: a burglar would much prefer a home without cameras to a home under surveillance. So that’s where we begin: We protect your home with state-of-the-art cameras with digital storage, video transmission, and web-based storage.
Intrusion detection is your second line of defense, alerting Hawk and the authorities the moment a burglar breaks in. (And don’t worry; our sensors are pet-immune, so Fido won’t set off the alarm.)
So how does it work? We customize our system to your home, carefully calibrating our glass-break detectors, motion sensors, window and door sensors, and other equipment based on your home’s specific characteristics. Our goal: to protect every door, every window – everyone in your home, at all times.
Of course, we know that home security is about more than just preventing or responding to break-ins. In addition to burglars, you’re concerned with fire, flood, and carbon monoxide protection. And we do that, too.
Unlike standalone smoke and heat detectors, our equipment is connected to your system – and to Hawk. Always, even when your security system is disarmed. Install our smoke, heat and CO detectors, and we’ll continuously monitor your home for any sign of emergency. And if we sense a problem, we’ll immediately send the fire department, police or ambulance your way.
Your family is most important to us, but your home (and everything it contains) also ranks high on our list. We help you protect against property loss – frozen pipes, floods, etc. – with environmental sensors, which we’ll place in the most vulnerable parts of your home. (Example: The basement, poorly insulated rooms, and wherever you keep your water heater.)
What’s more, we help you protect precious heirlooms and beloved possessions with asset protection devices. If someone moves your grandmother’s vase, or opens your jewelry box, or touches your coin collection, we’ll know. Even if your system is disarmed.
And that, Houstonians, is what we call peace of mind.
